Attendees heard new ideas from visionaries such as:

Subutai Ahmad (CTO, Numenta) and Mike Farmwald (Numenta board, Rambus founder). Numenta’s pioneering approach delivers greater than 10x improvement on performance/watt on AI/GenAI computations. Dr. Ahmad brings theory to life with his neuromorphic approach to breaking the power and performance constraints of GPUs (Thousand Brains Project). Farmwald is a successful serial entrepreneur, as a founder and co-founder of six breakthrough companies, including Rambus which has revolutionized scalable chip technology. 

Bran Ferren (Co-founder & Chief Creative Officer, Applied Minds) is one of Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business.” Equal parts artist, designer, scientist, and engineer, Bran is known for leveraging creativity to inspire innovation. He previously led R&D and creative technology at Walt Disney Imagineering, creating iconic attractions like Test Track and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. At Applied Minds, he and his team have delivered advanced technology and design solutions for clients including Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, John Deere, Herman Miller, and the Smithsonian.

Dr. Shreekant (Ticky) Thakkar (Chief Researcher, TII; Adjunct Research Professor, Khalifa University) is the architect of ZTASPuniting UAVs, UGVs, quadrupeds, and humanoids under silicon‑to‑cloud protections and a hybrid Mesh Shield network. A former Intel Fellow and HP Fellow/VP , he helped shape landmark x86 server, desktop, and mobile platforms. As an inventor of 87 patents and author of 45 papers, Ticky is known for turning advanced research into secure, at‑scale autonomous systems that ship.

Anastassia Lauterbach-Lang is the CEO and founder of AI Edutainment, a company in Switzerland that democratizes the knowledge of AI and Robotics for people without a background in computer science or mathematics. She is a Professor of Cybersecurity and AI at the MCI in Innsbruck and an MD EMEA at the ExCo Leadership Group, where she mentors Fortune 500 C-Suite executives. She sits on the Jury of the German AI Award. Anastassia is a former SVP and EVP with Qualcomm Inc., Deutsche Telekom AG, T-Mobile International, and Daimler AG.  She started her career at Munich Re and McKinsey.

Aira Activate built on last year’s successful event, and this invite-only gathering was hosted by Aira and McKinsey.

This annual event gathered a powerful mix of industry leaders from operators, vendors, and consulting experts to share practical insights on AI’s potential for innovation, performance, and productivity.
